Umber Zaidi

School Counselor.

We are pleased to have Umber as a part of our learning support staff. She is a CPCAB UK Certified Psychotherapist, a Member of Counseling and Psychological Services programs CEASE and Active Minds. CEASE stands for Creating Empowerment through Alcohol and Substance Abuse Education and Active Minds is a five star rated student run organization dealing in mental health issues, specifically suicide prevention. She is also Certified in Mental Health First Aid and Suicide Alertness and she completed the Prevention Education Program offered by San Francisco State University from where she did her undergraduate study in Psychology. Prior to joining us Umber worked as a Mental Health Advocate and CFO at MovingMinds as well as a Part-time student counselor at CASE University and a visiting scholar at NUST-SEECS.

 

Umber is a passionate believer in mental health advocacy for children, she believes that primary caregivers and educators should be equipped with the resources and support to help young children regulate their emotional development as well as their physical and educational development. She has trained teachers from all over Pakistan under HEC initiative on integrating teen and youth wellness in the classroom as well as provided educational training at CASE University and PAF Finishing School.
